The SSL ALPHA 8 is designed for advanced school studios that need to connect more synthesisers, drum machines, mixers or analogue processors. It can expand an existing audio interface through ADAT or S/PDIF, providing a practical progression route without replacing the core recording system.

Alternatively, a direct USB connection allows it to operate as an 18-in/18-out audio interface for line-level and digital equipment.
